Description:
In this remarkable 2007-2008 Anniversary Season, your Orchestra will join with the Dayton Masons to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the establishment of Freemasonry in Ohio! This unique occasion will be marked with a pair of concerts featuring a program that shows off the rare E.M. Skinner pipe organ that is the centerpiece of the Scottish Rite Cathedral, where the concert will take place. This magnificent instrument is one of only a dozen of its type in the world. You’ll experience the power that only 4,700 pipes – and a top-notch orchestra and soloist – can deliver. Acclaimed musician Todd Wilson – Director of Music and Organist, Church of the Covenant (Presbyterian), Cleveland, Ohio – joins us for the Organ Symphony as well as recital soloist. |
