Description:
Sir James Galway, nicknamed "the man with the golden
flute," is widely regarded as both a supreme interpreter
of the classical flute repertoire and a consummate entertainer
whose appeal crosses musical boundaries. In Belfast,
as a small child, Sir James began playing the penny
whistle before switching to the flute and – after
a great deal of practice and study – becoming
the premier flute virtuoso in the world today. Sir James
and his wife, flutist Lady Jeanne Galway, grace the
Mead Theatre stage for a truly unforgettable evening.
