Description:
A Side-by-Side Concert featuring the Dayton Philharmonic
Orchestra and the Dayton Philharmonic Youth Orchestra,
when both of our orchestras trade interpretations and
insights revealing the power of music. Highlighting
the storytelling qualities of music, the conductors
as well as members of the DPYO will guide the audience
through a program of famous and exciting overtures and
tone poems. Music will include Rimsky-Korsakov’s
Snow Maiden, Rossini’s William Tell Overture,
and Sibelius’s dramatic tone poem Finlandia.
