Description:
Our journey through America continues with this varied
program of colors and contrasts. The DPO is excited
to announce a premiere by our alumnus, acclaimed composer
Steven Winteregg. Next, Mr. Quint joins the DPO with
a piece he has championed and recorded: Bernstein’s
Serenade, a musical dialogue inspired by Plato’s
Symposium. Next, Copland’s folk-inspired
Appalachian Spring reveals our country’s
melodic heart. The ebullient Chichester Psalms
wraps up this fine, tuneful evening.
